Commercial Security Camera Installation

Our commercial clients with our professionally installed CCTV cameras have a high level of visibility over their businesses, covering potential shoplifting, employee theft, staff productivity and OH&S incidents within the workplace.

Security cameras also act as a strong deterrent to prevent potential incidents as well as provide a powerful message to your customers, clients and staff that your business values safety and security. If an incident does occur, providing video evidence can avoid costly legal expenses from false or dishonest claims as well as assist police or investigators to identify perpetrators.

Facial Recognition & Number Plate Detection
With our facial detection and recognition platform, businesses can build a database of clients and staff members. When a stranger enters an unauthorised area, our system can alert you and can even present demographics, such as gender and mood.

This is a perfect application for membership businesses such as gyms, or other premises which are unmanned. We also have systems available which can detect number plates and detect abandoned spaces, to further protect your business assets.
Virtual Tripwires & Motion Detection Alarm Notifications
Set tripwires to detect intruders or track staff entering restricted areas. This AI technology can also be used to detect the removal of objects, such as cars, from car parks or garages. Notifications can be sent to configured mobile devices when the tripwire is triggered and linked to an audible siren and strobe system onsite.
Access Camera Feeds from Any Device
Many of us work remotely, across offices or different states and still need to maintain visibility over the workplace. All of our CCTV systems are designed to be secure but accessible with mobile phones, tablets and computers from anywhere in the world.

Utilising a range of remote access technologies our security systems can be viewed from anywhere as well as send notifications for events such as human or vehicle detection, tamper alarms and system status
Video Wall Monitors
Larger scale security operations benefit most when displayed on purpose built video wall installations. This allows for simultaneous video monitoring over a large locality that can be critical for piecing together events and incidents quickly and effectively. Our team excel in customised audio-visual solutions as well as security, enabling us to combine the best of both for our clients with an edge over security only providers.

Commercial Security System Benefits

Prevent Shoplifting & Theft

Prominently placed security cameras can help deter shoplifters and employee theft. If theft does occur, your surveillance system will have a recording of the incident to identify offenders.

Perception of Customer Safety

The presence of a good security system including security cameras shows your customers that you care about their safety and security and can improve their overall perception of your business.

Lower the Risk of Vandalism

Business owners pay directly and indirectly for vandalism. Conspicuously placed cameras have been proven to reduce threats of violence and vandalism at businesses dramatically.

Avoid Legal Claims and Fraud

Avoid costly legal expenses from false or dishonest claims. One of the worst fears of any business is being sued. Whether an accident, injury, harassment or other legal issue occurs on-site, having video evidence can prove what actually took place.

Reduce Insurance Costs

A reliable indoor or outdoor surveillance system assures your insurance provider that youā€™re taking the necessary steps to protect your business from theft, which in turn, makes their job easier. Your business suddenly becomes less of a liability on their end.

Police Certified CCTV Technicians

Hexagon Valley is a Victorian Police registered and NSW Police registered private security business. Our technicians are ACMA Structured Cabling registered, Dahua Certified and our work is guaranteed.

Hexagon Valley installed our security cameras a couple of years ago - unfortunately weā€™ve accessed the footage a few times to help neighbours/police with investigations. We had a little hitch with the system a few months ago (entirely my fault!) and Matt was able to rectify the problem remotely and did so really promptly without any hesitation. Could not recommend them highly enough. Thanks guys!

This is our second installation of Security Cameras with Hexagon Valley. We used them the first time for our 95 apartment hotel fit out and just again recently had them install a similar system for our small apartment fit out.

We have found them to be be extremely professional, attentive and very easy to deal with. And, their quote came in at a much more competitive rate than our other tenderer's on these projects. We can highly recommend them.

If you're after security systems, whether local or interstate, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to deal with than Hexagon Valley. Their prices are great, and they don't skimp on customer support.

I couldn't be happier with choosing Hexagon Valley. I'll definitely be back in the future, and recommending them to anyone who will listen to me talking about my new setup!

Commercial Security Camera FAQs

Many security cameras do have audio recording functionality, however you will need to check specifically against each model as there are a wide range of solutions that both include and exclude microphones within the camera. Some models also include a speaker that can provide audible alarms and spoken messages upon human or vehicle detection.

This depends on the size, layout, desired coverage and types of cameras used for the project, however as a general rule it is critical to cover all entry and exit areas as a starting point. Additional coverage may be required to surveil specific stock, work areas and external car parks but this will be different for every business. As an example, we can propose a 1,250 sqm (50m x 25m) warehouse with an open view plan. Aiming to observe people in the workplace using a common 6MP camera with a 97 degree horizontal field of view and factoring in four entry/exit points. This scenario would require at least 10 cameras for an even internal coverage. The same size factory with extensive pallet racking and the same aim may however require 30 – 40 cameras to ensure even coverage.

Typically a 6MP dome or turret camera will be sufficient to cover a cash register, however it is important to position the camera in a way that the view cannot be obstructed. In some cases it is best to utilise two cameras from different angles to ensure that the view cannot be obstructed at any time.

A typical CCTV system with 16 cameras will require less than 150 watts of power per hour. This is comparable to a basic desktop computer and less than most larger LCD TVs, however it is important to recognise that the security camera system is usually running 24/7 and will consume power continually

Most commercial grade CCTV systems typically record directly to a dedicated set of surveillance hard drives that are installed into a network video recorder or server. WiFi is not normally required to record any CCTV footage, however some more basic consumer grade systems may use this method for recording.

CCTV systems can be configured to record 24/7 but can also be set to record only when activity is detected. We recommend, where possible to maintain 24/7 recording to avoid any potential footage being missed, this will however utilise the most amount of storage space and may not be possible in all instances. Setting a system to record on motion or human/vehicle detection can be a good way to conserve disk space and record over a longer period of time.
