Hexagon Valley installed a four-camera CCTV system with a four-channel NVR, giving the client practical visibility around key areas of the home.
The system was configured with mobile notifications and local alarm support, including active deterrent settings on the rear cameras. This allowed the client to receive alerts and improve awareness around movement at the property.
A roller door security switch was also installed, allowing the client to disable power to the garage door when needed. This added a simple but effective extra layer of protection, because the roller door cannot be remotely opened unless it has been powered back on from inside the home.
As part of the same project, Hexagon Valley also replaced sensor lighting, updated downlights, completed minor electrical work including GPO replacements, and installed a doorbell system.
The client also took up the Base Support Plan, giving them access to remote support after installation. Hexagon Valley has already used this to log in remotely and adjust system settings, including notifications and local alarm behaviour.
Additional coverage was installed around the outdoor living/side areas of the home, supporting day-to-day awareness around the property.
The client wanted a practical home security upgrade in response to concerns around garage door access and general property security.
There had been reports in the area of garage remote signals being intercepted or copied, so the client wanted an extra security measure that could prevent the roller door from being opened remotely when the family was home, away, or asleep overnight.
The project also included broader security improvements around the property, including CCTV coverage, mobile notifications, local alarm configuration, security lighting, downlight replacement, minor electrical work and a new doorbell system.
The result was a practical home security upgrade combining CCTV, mobile notifications, active deterrent alerts, improved lighting, doorbell access and an added roller-door lockout switch for extra peace of mind.
This gave the client better control over their home security, especially during times when they wanted to prevent the garage door from being opened remotely.
